The Schimmel<\/strong> \u2013 this is the one often described as being \u2018for greys\u2019. The truth is it\u2019s a stiff brush made from coconut fibres which is very effective at getting rid of stable stains (hence being most noticeably effective on greys). It\u2019s a useful first brush to also remove dried sweat or mud (although if they\u2019re super muddy then best to start with a curry comb to get the worst off to start with \u2013 otherwise you\u2019ll have to clean your lovely brush too!).\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Parcour<\/strong> \u2013 a medium\/stiff brush which is made from black and grey horsehair bristles. Another brush to use as a first step to remove dried sweat or mud – perfect if your horse is a sensitive soul and finds the Schimmel a bit too rough!\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Mustang<\/strong> \u2013 a mixture of brass wire and synthetic bristles makes this the perfect brush for moulting season or thick, dense coats all year round. Not for short-haired types and definitely not for clipped horses!\u00a0<\/p>\n

Step two<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Use a brush with a raised outer and a shorter inner. The combination of natural fibres and bristle length helps get deeper into the coat and brings dust, grease and grime to the surface.<\/p>\n

The Cavaliere<\/strong> is the all-rounder. Made from pure mane and tail hair it\u2019s a lovely brush, suitable for all types of horse. A great choice if you horses who have to share their brushes.<\/p>\n

The Lipizzaner<\/strong> is made from selected horse hairs. Shorter and more densely packed than the Military this is the better choice if your horse\u2019s coat is prone to being greasy.<\/p>\n

The Military<\/strong> has the longest bristles. Made with softer grey horsehair around the edge this would be the ideal second step brush for the more sensitive horse.<\/p>\n

(if you\u2019re still brushing at this stage then WELL DONE! \u2013 your arms must be aching!!)<\/p>\n

Pick something soft to clean away the surface dust and help get the coat to lie smooth.<\/p>\n

The Fellganz<\/strong> (literally translated as \u2018fur shine\u2019). Made from soft, densely woven white horsehair it\u2019s a great \u2018posh\u2019 brush. Use when your horse is clean to get rid of the fine dust that\u2019ll settle on the coat after all your hard work. Perfect for shows and for a bit of pampering if you want to give your horse a lovely facial!<\/p>\n

The Diamond Gloss<\/strong>. Super soft horsehair and a glittery back. Another great \u2018finishing brush\u2019 just with a bit more bling than the Fellganz!<\/p>\n

Because occasionally you just want to use a supersoft pure lambswool brush that feels like something magical\u2026<\/p>\n

The Diva<\/strong> is what you need for a last minute sweep just before you go into the showring for a perfect glossy finish or, just because, any other time\u2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These brushes are very nice and should be\u00a0looked after to get the best out of them. Wash them regularly in warm water with a little bit of very mild shampoo or detergent.<\/p>\n

For everyday cleaning consider using the Haas curry comb to remove dirt and dust. The soft flexible plastic is great to use on your horse to get rid of thick, dried on mud but is also much gentler on the natural fibres used in your Haas body brush(es) than a traditional metal curry comb.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
