If your body protector stays at room temperature it\u2019ll be the most comfortable it can be when you put it on. A damp tack-room, car boot in winter or dangling on a hot radiator are terrible choices.<\/li><li>If your body protector gets wet, then let it dry naturally and air properly. Mould, smells and bacteria will not help keep it in tip-top condition.<\/li><li>Check the fixtures and fittings regularly. We keep replacement elastics in stock and can arrange a replacement zip service on body protectors that are reasonably brilliant for doing this.<\/li><li>Avoid using detergents as they might compromise the effectiveness of the foam.<\/li><li>DO NOT put it in the washing machine or get it dry it.<\/li><li>After five years the absorption properties of the foam may start to decline and your body protector will not be able to offer you the best protection. The better you look after it will also help too.\u00a0Try not to leave it on the floor of the tack room or dumped in the lorry.\u00a0A bit of TLC will go a long way to keeping your body protector
