At RB Equestrian, we always have been and will forever be passionate about equestrian safety – the range of hats and body protectors we have in store, in addition to the free fitting service<\/a> we offer, backs this up!<\/p>

We also stock a growing number of equestrian air vests<\/a> – also known as air jackets. These kinds of products have developed hugely in recent years, and we\u2019re delighted to talk to you about why Hit-Air<\/a>, and it\u2019s range, has found a place in our shop, and why we love the products as much as our customers do\u2026<\/p>

Protection level<\/h3>

When the air vest is inflated (which happens when the lanyard is pulled and the canister activated), it provides an incredible level of additional cushioning and stabilisation around vital areas. These include the neck, spine including lower back, chest, ribs and hips.<\/p>

We love the MLV3<\/a> for every day riding, cross-country training and eventing.<\/p>

Quick activation<\/h3>

When the canister is activated, it takes next to no time for the air vest to inflate. It is designed to do so before the rider hits the ground. The cushioning air bags are inflated and ready to help reduce the force of impact and reduce the severity of any injury. Did you know? The Hit-Air jackets start to deflate once they have gone off. They\u2019re designed that if the horse falls on top of you, the inflation gives the horse enough time to get up and away.<\/p>

Light and sleek<\/h3>

Air jackets are slim, light in weight, and it\u2019s easy to forget you\u2019re wearing them! The design of Hit-Air\u2019s collection means that you\u2019ll look great and have unrestricted movement (in the deflated state). The sizes available cover a broad range of measurements, making them easy to fit and wear over different clothing as the seasons change.<\/p>

With Hit-Air, the canister and key ball are designed to be enclosed. This helps to prevent dirt entering the mechanism and also helps to reduce the noise when activated.<\/p>
