Step One – Choose Your Style
First, you’ll need to decide on the shape of your helmet:
- Classic 2.0 – a timeless, streamlined design with a standard peak
- Miss Shield – features a wider peak for extra coverage and a slightly more fashion-forward look
The Miss Shield has become incredibly popular, especially for riders who like a bit more presence and protection from the sun.
Step Two – Choose Your Shell
Next, choose the shell finish. This forms the base of your helmet and sets the overall tone.
You can choose from:

- Shadow Matt – Black, Blue, Brown. Clean, modern and very versatile
- Shadow Glossy – Black, Blue. Adds a subtle shine
- Alcantara – Black, Blue, Brown. A premium, suede-like finish that feels really nice and looks more luxurious
Step Three – Choose Your Top
The top panel sits across the crown of the helmet. This is where you can really personalise your design. You can keep it simple by matching your shell, or explore more detailed finishes such as:
- Leather options including Flower Print Leather
- Exotic styles like Python, Lizard or Crocodile
- Sparkle finishes including Swarovski Crystal Fabric, Shimmer, Pearls, Chevron and Ultra Fine Rock
There are plenty of colour options within each, so you can fine-tune the look exactly how you want it.
Step Four – Choose Your Blazon
The blazon is the front badge where the Samshield logo sits. It’s a small detail that makes a big visual impact.
Options include:
- Chrome – Black, Silver Chrome, Gold, Pink Gold
- Crystal Fabric – including Silver, Black, Blue and Paradise Shine
- Matt finishes – understated and smart
- Ultra Fine Rock – adds texture and sparkle
Step Five – Choose Your Trim
The trim frames the top panel and brings the whole design together.
You can match it to your shell for a clean look or use it to add contrast with chrome, titanium, matt or metallic finishes.
Most Popular Choice
Chrome Black is by far the most popular choice for both trim and blazon.
It gives a subtle shine without being too bold, works with almost every colour combination and keeps the helmet looking smart and timeless. If you’re unsure, it’s a very safe and stylish option.
If you’ve chosen a Miss Shield, you’ll also need to select a band.
This sits across the front of the helmet above the peak and is another great way to personalise your design.
You can keep it simple to match your helmet, or go for something more eye-catching with crystal, shimmer or patterned finishes. It’s a popular place to add a bit of sparkle without overpowering the whole look.

Once your design is complete, you can view it from every angle in the Configurator to make sure it looks exactly right.
You can also:

- Choose between a dressage or jumping chin strap
- Select your liner for the perfect fit

When you’re happy with your design, complete the form alongside the Configurator. We’ll confirm your specification, including shell size and liner options, and provide accurate pricing and delivery times.
You’ll see an estimated price as you build your helmet, but this is just a guide and includes VAT.
