Our History
In 1989, armed with some bric a brac and a host of outgrown riding clothes, Rosslyn Boggis held the fort on an acquaintance’s regular second-hand market stall in central Milton Keynes. A chance conversation that day with the market superintendent led to her being offered a twice weekly stall to sell riding wear and horse equipment (and the opportunity to start immediately, bypassing the usual two year waiting list). That evening, over dinner with Ted, her husband, she decided to invest £800, buy some stock, cut down her hours at office she worked in, and become a market trader.
Two years later she rented her first tiny shop and the rest, as they say, is history.
A true family business with Rosslyn still in the shop most days, we’re proud of our humble roots and prouder still that RB Equestrian is now one of the largest and most well respected equestrian stores in the UK.
