The Fairfax Performance Girth has been a revelation for many of the horses it has been used on. Tested using gait analysis it Increases the horse’s performance by:
• Dramatically reducing pressure
• Significantly increasing range of movement
• Eliminating gait asymmetry
The Fairfax Performance Girth is the only girth to have been tested during its development in conjunction with the BEF World Class Programme.
During squad training, Centaur Biomechanics gait analysis was used to test the effect of the girth on the horses’ performance.
"We recorded up to 33% improvement in forelimb protraction and general range of motion of every elite horse we tested” *
*results were compared to the horses’ own girth - Russell Guire of Centaur Biomechanics
Sizing:
Choose the same size girth that your horse would normally wear.
Do you need the narrow gauge version?
If you horse has a narrow rib cage (and almost all ponies do) you may need the narrow gauge version. Measure your horse (or pony) between the elbows (see the image above). If this measurement is less than 20cm then you will need the narrow gaugeversion to ensure the correct fit between the horse's legs.
