The Safe-on stirrups combine comfort, performance and safety. They provide technical performance in terms of shock absorption and ergonomics. The single branch spring steel frame design will increase the comfort of riders. Notwithstanding, its releasable arm will reduce the risk of injury by setting the foot free in the event of a fall.
Please note that the rider must over 40 kg to enable the trigger of the mechanism. The arm can then be reset manually. The Safe-On stirrups provide an extra level of security with their quick release safety arm.

CUSTOMISATIONAt RB Equestrian, we are able to customise your Flex-on stirrups to your taste. For no extra charge, you are able to change the colour of your elastomer spring, tread tray and frame. Flex-on Stirrups use elastomer “springs”, which cushion and reduce the shock-waves generated by the horse’s movements. This helps the rider’s stability and reduces pressure on the riders’ joints, helping to prevent injuries. This unique, shock absorption technology is then combined with customisable design.

How to measure stirrups
You might not think it, but getting the right size stirrup iron is incredibly important. If stirrups are too big, your foot could slip through the stirrup and become caught which could be terrifying and cause injury in the event of a fall. If the stirrup is too small, your foot could become stuck inside it which, again, could cause serious injury in the event of a fall as you could be dragged.
So, how do you measure stirrups?
If you have an existing pair you’re upgrading, take a tape measure with inches on and put your stirrup iron on a flat surface. You then want to measure inside the arch just above the tread, to inside the arch on the other side of the stirrup. That will give you your measurement.
How do you know if the stirrup iron is the right size for you?
The width of your boot will determine whether or not a stirrup is the right size for you, so if you’re going in store to buy a pair of stirrup irons, it’s a good idea to take your riding boots along with you. If you’re ordering online, measure the widest part of the boot, where the stirrup will be, and ensure that your stirrup irons are around 1” wider than this, so you have a ½” gap either side of the boot when the stirrup is in the right place.
